Iconemesis - Teacup Case
Recently Iconemesis sent me a beautiful new Iphone 4S case, and I thought I would tell you all a little bit more about how I’ve been getting on with my new phone cover for the last two weeks.

Iconemesis gave me a selection of gorgeous cases to chose from and as they collaborate with some really amazing artists I felt it was only appropriate that I select one that showcases the unique selection of artists they represent.

I don’t usually like hard cases, I’ve worked in two different phone stores in my life and I’ve seen so many simply break when the phone is dropped so I personally usually select silicone cases as I feel they have a more ‘shock absorbing’ feel to them when I occasionally drop my phone. However, I was really pleasantly surprised by the case when it arrived. The plastic is sturdy and solid, but at the same time not too bulky and didn’t add too much weight to my phone. The case also fitted well around my phone; I have a white 4s which is just slightly larger than the black one so that can affect the fit but it was snug and even all around.

The design selection was also something I found great delight in, the colours are vibrant and I have not seen anybody else with a case like it! The price of this particular case featuring artwork from Fifi Lapin is only £24.99 so its a good price for such a high quality cover.

Overall I’m really loving my new Iconemesis case!

ROUGE BUNNY ROUGE: MAKE-UP REVIEW

Recently Rouge Bunny Rouge sent me some great products for me to try out and i wanted to write a little review about them! They sent me three products: Milk Aquarelle Foundation in Coconut Parfait, Seas of Illumination highlighter in Sea of Tranquillity and Amplitude Big Lash Mascara in pure Obsidian.

Packaging

Firstly i wanted to talk about the packaging, as a branding student the appearance of the products means alot to me and after seeing Rouge Bunny Rouge’s enchanted garden themed website i was very excited to see the products, and i was not disappointed. The whimsical garden theme carried over into the packaging beautifully and i really felt like i had a premium product in my hands. I thought the two small sample pots they sent me were just as cute as the mascara box and mascara itself.

Milk Aquarelle - Liquid Foundation

The first product i wanted to talk about it the Milk Aquarelle Foundation, i was sent this product in the shade ”Coconut parfait” this is their lightest shade as im quite pale. I absolutely LOVED this foundation, it has a almost mouse like feel to the actual product and was very silky and went onto my skin so easily. I have quite dry skin in places and i have had foundations in the past that have only flaked or not sat properly on my skin because of this. The Milk Aquarelle had no such problem, it went on unbelievably light and it actually felt like i was wearing no foundation so it surprised me with how well it covered and evened out skin tone too, it felt much more like a tinted moisturiser than a foundation and i would recommend it to anybody. The shade suited my skin and didnt appear too dark or give an ‘orange’ look which is unusual as my skin tone is quite pale and i find foundations that match hard to find.

Sea of Illumination - Liquid Highlighting Fluid

The second product from their facial range i was sent was their Sea of Illumination highlighting fluid, i was sent the shade ”Sea Of Tranquillity’ which has a great pale pink tone to it which would be flattering to all skin tones in my opinion. I must say this was my least favourite product out of the three and it took a little bit of getting used too. It has a great shimmer to it without looking glittery or unnatural on the skin and looked good on its own and without any other make-up. I personally found this difficult to apply on-top of the foundation as it seemed to re moisturise the foundation and almost rub it off, i also found it difficult to apply with a foundation brush which is something i usually use to apply my highlighters with. After a few days i tried applying it under the foundation with my fingers which worked much better, it toned down the shimmer which i found a little disappointing but still gave a really natural looking dewy glow to my skin in the areas i applied it too. It also has a really nice smell to it, its quite fresh and slightly watermelon in scent.

Amplitude - Big Lash Mascara

The final product i was sent was from their eye range and i must say its by far my favourite of the three although the Milk Aquarelle foundation comes a close second behind this. I found their Amplitude Big Lash Mascara absolutely fantastic. It felt really creamy and nourishing to my lashes and i didn’t need many coats to get the look i wanted, it also is so wonderfully pigmented; infact it made some of my other mascaras look brown in comparison! It didnt flake through the day and i didnt feel like i needed to put lots of coats on to get a good result. It added length and volume to my lashes and just really amazed me with how well it preformed compared to other mascaras i had tried. I will definitely be purchasing this product again and along with the Milk Aquarelle Foundation i totally recommend these products to anybody.

Overall i would recommend Rouge Bunny Rouge as a brand, i feel their products are of a quality only seen in other premium brands such as mac and i just think they offer a nice alternative to the ‘norm’.
